We are interested in learning about people and organizations whose work is aligned with our mission.

The Sonor Foundation partners with under-resourced and underserved communities and supports high-impact organizations, leaders, and ideas across Canada. We are currently partnered with about 30 organizations and prioritize longer term and renewable relationships with organizations working in our impact areas.  

As a foundation with a focused mandate, we invest in organizations and leaders working in two specific impact areas: trans, Two-Spirit, and gender-diverse communities, and children and youth in care. We fund both direct services, and broader systems change opportunities including research, policy, narrative change and legal efforts to protect charter rights. We’re also open to exploring partnerships in areas such as housing, ADHD, and food allergies.  

We welcome opportunities to connect with those doing work that aligns with our impact areas or work that responds to other urgent needs facing the communities we care about.

Please note that this is not a formal application for funding, but an opportunity for our team to learn about your work as we consider future partnerships. We review these submissions regularly and will reach out if there is an opportunity for future funding, partnership, or collaboration. Given the high volume of requests we receive, we are unable to respond to all inquiries.
